Abstract
Material development aimed to meeting specific requirements, whereby the composition or processing must be optimised. There are numerous possible combinations to determine the optimum process parameters, for example for heat treatments such as ageing or recrystallisation. Conventional methods are time-consuming. Resistivity measurements in a furnace offer the possibility of an in situ measurement, which provides insight into the process and reduces the number of trials to select a reasonable parameter combination.
