Abstract
This repository contains the backend module for the River Plume Workflow, which is part of the Digital Earth Flood Event Explorer. For more information, visit the Digital Earth project webpage and the River Plume Workflow webpage.

•DataGeneration: folder contains functions and scripts to load and pre-process data for the River Plume Workflow, manually or automatically. The River Plume Workflow loads data from servers at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, so in order to add new datasets, users need to have access rights to these servers
•RiPFlowModule: folder contains functions to load and pre-process satellite datasets, and to use the data for anomaly detection and time series generation in the River Plume Workflow
•Module.py and SynopsisModulePulsarMessageHandler.py: scripts to handle the messaging btw. backend and frontend functionalities
•similarity_analysis_prototype_clean.py: function that implements a simple similarity analysis in the River Plume Workflow
•requirements.txt lists required python packages
