The fundamentals of the techniques are briefly described as well as the main advantages and limitations. This chapter highlights the relevance of micropotentiometry and SVET by discussing examples of corrosion problems that were successfully studied by using these techniques. The described examples evolve in a way that underlines the need of more elaborated experimental setup and new data interpretation approaches to the obtained results. Finally the most important ideas of the described examples are summarized in Section 8.3.
