Especially the selective separation of organic compounds from aqueous and organic mixtures will play an important role in the future. Organophilic pervaporation is an innovative technology for this kind of separation tasks. An overall concept for the design of a membrane module for pervaporation is presented. This concept includes the development of a highly selective membrane and the design of a novel membrane module. For a structured simulation of the membrane and module separation performance, a set of three consecutive models is developed and implemented in a user friendly software tool.
