Defect free welds with over matching mechanical properties could be accomplished with a resultant weld metal consisting of a dual phase structure (ferrite and austenite). The pitting corrosion behaviour of the weld metal/heat affected zone, assessed as a 'composite zone', was found to be inferior to the rest of the regions in this dissimilar weldment, in both the acidic and neutral chloride solutions of different concentrations.}, note = {Online available at: \url{http://dx.doi.org/10.1179/174328408X278402} (DOI).
