The Mg-1Ho alloy was extruded at three different temperatures, i.e., 320, 350, and 380 °C, leading to variation in its grain size and texture intensity. With decreasing extrusion temperature, a significant increase was achieved in its room-temperature ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and yield strength (YS). After being subjected to an extrusion temperature of 320 °C, furthermore, Mg-1Ho alloy can effectively promote osteogenic proliferation and differentiation, anti-inflammatory, along with osteogenic gene expression. Our findings emphasized that adding extract from Mg-1Ho alloy extruded at 320 °C enhanced the ability of osteogenesis, demonstrating its potential as a biomaterial to improve cell performance and fate.}, note = {Online available at: \url{https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jmrt.2024.05.094} (DOI).
